Ellen DeGeneres says she’s ‘done’ after Netflix special

Ellen DeGeneres Talks Her ‘Expulsion From Show Business’ During Her New Comedy Tour

Ellen DeGeneres has plans to simply stay away from Hollywood.

The former daytime talk show host opened up about his life since the end The Ellen DeGeneres Show during her stand-up show in Santa Rosa, California, on July 1.

When a fan asked if they could see her on Broadway or the big screen soon, Ellen was quick to explain.

“Uh, no,” she said, according to SFGATE. “This is the last time you’ll see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done.”

But the comedienne is grateful for the time she spends on stage in the meantime.

“Thanks for still caring!” Ellen said. “Let me fill you in on what’s been happening to me since you last saw me. I have chickens.”

She added: “Oh yeah, and I got thrown out of show business for being mean.”

Ellen joked that next time she’ll be “kicked out for being old,” “old, gay and mean – the triple crown.”
