Producer Jon Landau’s reminiscences continued on Sunday, including one of Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio.
Landau, producer of the Oscar-winning Titanic And Avatardied Saturday at the age of 63, prompting an outpouring of memories from his many friends and colleagues.
Today, DiCaprio released his statement.
“Jon was an incredibly kind, wise, and empathetic soul who wanted nothing more than to have a positive impact on anyone or anything he came in contact with. His legacy and leadership will live on forever. My condolences to his entire family. Rest in peace; you will be greatly missed.”

Last night was DiCaprio’s Titanic Her co-star, Kate Winslet, spoke about her memories of Landau.
“Jon Landau was the kindest and best man.”

She adds: “He was a man who was rich in compassion and exceptionally good at supporting and nurturing teams of phenomenally creative people.”
“His strength in life was that he knew how important family was, at home and at work,” Winslet continued.
“He was always full of smiles and gratitude. I can’t believe I’m writing this, I can’t believe he’s gone.”
