A 40-year-old woman has been arrested after a child was left unattended in a vehicle and died Wednesday, Omaha police said. Juanita Pinon was arrested for child abuse by neglect resulting in death. Omaha police said Pinon was the victim’s foster mother. CPR was performed and the child was taken to the hospital. He did not survive. Omaha police said the child was 5 years old and in foster care. He has not been identified at this time. Officers were called to the scene of the accident in the area of 93rd and Binney Street just after 5 p.m.
